Objective

Winter Sportscast was a six part, half-hour anthology television series featuring active outdoor sports and adventure segments, both summer and winter. Produced by Jalbert Productions, the show was syndicated nationally in the U.S. in over 100 broadcast markets. Entering its 11th year of production, the producers wanted to give the show an updated look and feel.

My Role

I was hired to create an entirely new graphics package for the long-running series including multi-layered show open; segment billboards; commercial bumpers; and lower-third graphics. Intelligent design allowed Jalbert Productions to keep the graphic content of its flagship show current from year to year while keeping production costs down. The multi-layered show open and commercial bumpers were designed to be easily refreshed by updating various video elements with new footage.

Objective

Return of the Champions brings together the most prestigious group of past and present U.S. Ski Team athletes to relive their moments of Olympic glory.

Produced and syndicated by Jalbert Productions, Inc., the show contains exclusive Olympic moments rarely seen on TV.

My Role

For this show I created a bold and dynamic graphics package that included a show open, segment billboards, commercial bumpers, transition effects, and lower-third graphics.

At CBC Media from 1995-1998 I edited and designed graphics for hundreds of regional broadcast and cable television commercials. This clip is just a small sample of my work in this area.

Customer Connect
I designed several motion graphic elements for use in a video being produced by CA's in-house multimedia production group showcasing CA's latest eBusiness initiative -- a customer service website called Customer Connect. Three section title segments consisting of motion text and colorful graphic elements over stock footage were created as well as a main title logo animation and 16 keyword text animations.

Channel Marketing
I created a 2-min. multi-layered show open that would present a series of the past years events and headlines relating to the company's channel marketing efforts. Source material for the project consisted of several newspaper and magazine headlines and photo clippings as well as artwork from brochures and press material. The resulting video is a dynamic montage of graphic elements with movement along several planes set to upbeat music.

Managed Services Provider Program
I produced a 3-min. engaging and informative video showcasing CA's Managed Services Provider program that utilizes motion graphics, multi-layered stock images, text, and logos along with voice-over and music to successfully illustrate the benefits of the MSP program.
